Javier Molina, AIA
partner | CEO
Javier Molina’s expertise is in the development and transformation of great concepts into reality. Regardless of whether the concept is his or a colleague’s, his true passion is the design development process by which the concept transforms into building form.
Javier deciphers, analyzes, and defines concepts to fully grasp the architectural vision prior to developing the physical details. Whether it is planning large developments, or the design of individual structures, the process is consistently the same. The firm’s projects demonstrate a keen commitment to the concept and are strengthened and enriched through his attention to details.
Javier understands his role as a managing partner in a business. However, it is his reputation as an architect working in the trenches that has helped build a successful firm. He is enthralled with and committed to the design process and how buildings come together, through the incorporation of the materials and their construction methodology. Javier’s active role as a partner in the design process gives the firm a unique characteristic which has helped build a portfolio of work that is user friendly, contextually responsive, and extraordinarily elegant.
As a self taught businessman, Javier is a composed, calm and collected leader whose confident style inspires and motivates those around him to trust their instincts and to pursue excellence. His life experience as an only son to a single parent growing up in downtown Los Angeles, has given him the motivation and the drive for success and a keen ability to take on the challenges that confront every business. These characteristics are woven into his style of leadership and communicated to project managers – making the daily operations of the company a well integrated and smooth process.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, including study abroad, he is a dedicated follower of USC athletics. Early in his career, Javier worked with several reputable firms as a designer, project architect and project manager, helping them design and develop academic buildings, retail centers, and government facilities. He co-founded Quatro Design Group in 1996 and has been a registered architect in the state of California since 1992.
